Sea Mills Community Garden

Kinetic Sculpture and Film

Group project to create a News Piece about Sea Mills, a suburb of Bristol. After discovering the Sea Mills Community Garden, a project that’s rejuvenating an old fly-tipping area of the Town, we decided that documenting the project wasn’t enough.

Members of the group told us about their pigeon problem and so we designed a kinetic wind sculpture to celebrate the space and act as a scarecrow. To embrace the history of the site I used steel that would rust and weather to look like the scrap metal previously found around the site. My role within
the group was audio engineer, designer and co-welder.
