The Dichotomy of Man and Nature
Interactive Ceramic Sculpture and Film
An interactive installation exploring the boundary between Man and Nature; In 2016 the Great Barrier Reef died and you could say our impact on the planet has gone too far.
I designed and coded a sculpture that demonstrates our influence on nature. The ceramic corals
are connected to a circuit that, when untouched, plays beautiful samples of sea life and coral reefs. However, when you begin to interact with the coral elements you corrupt and glitch the symphony.
I wanted to create an experience that encouraged play and therefore kept interest and was obvious
in its message.
